Wirelit — Privacy Policy
Effective date: 27 October 2026
We collect nothing about you. Wirelit has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking, no account and no server of ours. Your progress stays on your devices. The only things that ever leave a device go to Apple services you already use, and only if you use them: iCloud keeps the list of lit windows in step across your devices, and Game Center receives your achievement progress if you are signed in.
Hawk & Mason Studios is a trading name of Hakan Aydın, an independent developer based in Türkiye. Contact: hello@hawkmason.com.
What the app stores
Wirelit keeps a small amount of game state on your device, in storage shared only between the app, its widgets and its Apple Watch app:
- which boxes you have lit, and where each ring of an unfinished box was left;
- the state of tonight's box, and the nights on which you solved it;
- the watchman's logbook — the short note written for each box you solve, and a few lines for each neighbourhood you light completely;
- your settings (sound and haptics).
None of this contains your name, email, location, a device ID or an advertising ID. Deleting the app deletes it; Settings → Reset progress clears the lit windows, unfinished boxes and the logbook.
iCloud (automatic if you use iCloud)
If your device is signed in to iCloud, Wirelit stores one thing in Apple's iCloud key-value storage: the list of boxes you have lit, so that a window lit on your iPhone is lit on your iPad, Mac and Apple TV too. It is a list of box numbers and nothing else. It lives in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy; we cannot read it.
Game Center (optional)
Game Center is Apple's service, not ours, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy.
- It is optional. When the game opens, iOS may show Apple's Game Center sign-in. You can close it and play the whole game, fully offline.
- Achievements only. If you are signed in, the game reports achievement progress — how many windows of each neighbourhood are lit, how many nightly boxes you have solved. There are no leaderboards and no scores.
- Nothing comes to us. The game does not store your Game Center name or ID and has no server to send it to.
Apple Intelligence and Siri
On devices with Apple Intelligence, the watchman's logbook adds a line about the night written by Apple's on-device model. It runs entirely on your device: the model is told only a neighbourhood name and the time, and nothing is sent anywhere. Without Apple Intelligence the logbook uses lines we wrote.
If you ask Siri about tonight's box, Siri is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy. The game only answers how many lamps are lit.
What the app does not do
- No connections of our own. We run no server, and the game contains no analytics, crash-reporting or advertising code. It plays fully in airplane mode.
- No tracking.
NSPrivacyTrackingisfalse; there are no tracking domains and no data types are declared as collected. - No third-party code. Wirelit is built only with Apple's own frameworks.
- No account. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No purchases inside the app. No in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no ads.
Required-reason APIs
Apple requires a declared reason for certain system APIs. Wirelit declares one category, used only to keep its own game state:
- User defaults —
CA92.1(the app's own settings) and1C8F.1(state shared with its widgets and Apple Watch app)
Children
Wirelit is suitable for all ages: we collect nothing, there is no chat, no user-generated content shared with anyone, no advertising and no way to spend money inside the game. Game Center is optional and follows Apple's parental controls.
