A calm circuit puzzle

Wirelit

Turn the rings. Light the city.

The city’s power is out and you hold the keys to every fuse box: you are the night watchman. Every box is a small board of wires around a transformer. Tap a piece and its whole ring turns a quarter turn.

Turn the rings until current reaches every window lamp. When the last one catches, the box says “All the lamps are lit”, your phone gives one long, warm pulse, and a window in the skyline lights up for good.

How a box works

One rule, a dozen ideas built on it. No score, no timer, no move counter: only light.

Tap to turn a ring

Any piece turns its whole ring a quarter turn. While your finger is down, the ring that will turn lights up, with an arrow for the way it goes.

Light every window

Current flows from the transformer at the centre. Bring it to every lamp; a sleeping window, drawn dashed, must stay dark.

One answer, never one tap away

Every box has exactly one solution and none starts a single turn from solved. Stuck? The hint says a little more each time.

12 neighbourhoods, 288 boxes

Each neighbourhood has its own light, lamp shape, skyline and musical key, and brings one new idea: sleeping windows, chain and gear rings, bolted pieces, half and reverse rings, 9×9 squares.
